December 9, 2011 at 6.30pm Shyamal Music Foundation (SMF) will be featuring Sanjeev Chimmalgi in their monthly concert series. This programme will also featured senior santoor player Satish Vyas. Sanjeev will be accompanied by Prafulla Athalye on Tabla and Siddhesh Bicholkar on Harmonium. Entry is free. All are welcome. Venue – Manik Sabhagruha, Opp Lilavati Hospital, Bandra

Samarpan – A tribute to the pioneers of Indian Classical Music in Navi Mumbai Pt C R Vyas and Sri M V Chimmalgi

Sanjeev will pay a musical tribute to his Guru Pt C R Vyas and his father Sri M V Chimmalgi, both of whose birth anniversary falls in November. These two were instrumental in creating a taste and inclination towards Indian Classical Music in Navi Mumbai. In 1978 they along with a few like minded friends they set up an organisation called New Bombay Music and Drama Circle in Vashi. Through this Circle they invited who’s who of Indian Classical Music to perform. They also created an opportunity for local talent to flourish through theme programmes and competitions as well as music classes. Venue : Navi Mumbai Sports Association (NMSA) , Mini Hall, 2nd floor, Vashi Date & Time : Sunday, December 4th, 2011 - 9.30am This programme is free. All are welcome.

Sanjeev will feature in this unique theme concert to be presented at Y B Chavan Auditorium Pune. Sanjeev and Savani Shende will present the first half of this concert of Krishna Bhajans by the Ashta Chhap poets. Some of the songs will also feature Dance performance by Shambhavi Vaze and her group. The second half will feature Haveli Sangeet by Pandit Jasraj.
